Mangal Dosha
When Mars is in 12,1,2,4,7, 8 th house in a chart then this dosha is there.
But this is not exhaustive in itself .
Mars has to be severely afflicted to behave nastily.
Like it has to be in enemy’s sign, weak in d9 chart, aspected or conjunct with malefic planets or it has to be a Functional Malefic in the chart to bring bad results.
This Dosha is cancelled when :
Mars is a Functional Benefic.(FB)
Mars is in its own sign by being a FB.
Mars mool trikone sign does not fall in 6, 8, 0r 12th house.
It is aspected or conjunct by benefics
It is exalted and a FB.
My observations on Mangal Dosha:
Mars in 12th house causes addictions of negative sorts.
Mars in 1st house makes one dominate his spouse.
Mars in 2nd house will cause rift in family life.
Mars in 4th house will cause domestic turmoils.
Mars in 7th house cause below status spouse, and the native will have sexual contacts outside marriage
Mars is extremely bad in 8th house, unless it is cancelled by any of the above combinations to cause its malefic effects.
This is the severest form of Mangal Dosha in 8th house. It will shorten the life of the spouse.
Mars is not that malefic else where.
But I have seen if one has this Dosha does goes through delays in timing of marriage, divorces, and widowhood, or a sick spouse. etc

Secondly, we need to see the position of the 10th lord of D1 chart in the D10 chart. This lord if placed in a good house in a friendly sign will be very beneficial for smoothness in one’s career. This person will enjoy good status in the society too.
e.g, if the ascendant lord is Jupiter, and it sits in Aires, then it means the person is able to carry forward his task or career singlehandedly and smoothly.
if the ascendant lord is debilitated in the D10 chart, then it would indicate that the person will go through lots of obstacles in his work to become successful.
and similarly, if the 10th lord of D1 is strong and in friendly sign in D10 chart would mean that the individual will prosper.
Thirdly, we also need to see the position of the ascendant lord of the D10 chart in that chart itself. if the planet is well placed and strong then it could mean that the person will be able to have a worthy start in his career and will be able to take up any challenges in his career.
On the contrary, if the ascendant lord of D10 chart is weak or debilitated, then it could mean that the person will have a very humble start and will reach to great heights with time, if that debilitation is getting cancelled in D10 chart.
Fourthly, if there is a ‘Dhan Yoga’ in the D10 chart then it could mean that the person will earn a lot of wealth through his career.
Fifthly, if the sun is strong in the D10 chart then the person will have a good position in his career.
If the position of Saturn is strong in the D10 chart then, the person will have the support of his subordinates and political career is highly suitable.
The strong fourth house in D10 chart would give lots of happiness in one’s career. If the fourth house or its lord is afflicted then the person will have unhappiness in his career.
The periods of 6th, 8th, and 12th lords in D10 chart would give change or transfers in one’s career. Any planet related to the 10th house or ascendant of D10 chart would give promotions in one’s career.
if you have more planets in the Upchay houses in your D10 chart, then you will grow gradually in your career with lots of hard work. If most of the planets are in the kendra or in trine houses in D10, then that person will grow easily in his career and will be very successful.
